This Annual Report is provided in fulfillment of the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations’ obligation under the National Council for Reconciliation Act. The Act, which came into force on July 2, 2024, requires the Minister responsible to provide the
National Council for Reconciliation with an annual report on indicators set forth in section 16.1 of the Act. These indicators relate to child and family services, education, income, health, and justice, and were identified in the Truth and Reconciliation
Commission’s Call to Action 55.
